In 1979 Fien Hulscher and her daughter Bela came to Anacortes from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Ms. Hulscher had owned a bed and breakfast in Amsterdam and wanted to do something similar here in Anacortes where they had chosen to settle.

She purchased the Islands Motel - a perfect spot to recreate the warm atmosphere of her B&B in Amsterdam.

Today, Islands Inn serves a variety of travellers, from business to families. We pride ourselves in being able to provide a comfortable room and excellent service to meet all our customers' needs.
